3 Ways To Use Positive Thinking For Losing Weight

Do you think that your mind is your most powerful weapon against your fight against weight loss?

You better believe it is?

The bottom line is that all change begins in your mind and is then manifested outward in the material world as tangibles.

One of the best ways to use your mind to your advantage is the practice of positive thinking.

Now let’s be clear, positive thinking alone will not cause you to lose weight but is a critical component.

In other words, it’s a great starting point.

The laws of the universe, whether you agree or not dictates that whatever you focus on you tend to gravitate towards it…

If you focus on negativity, then you’ll attract more of it.

Now, once again, I’m not stating that all you have to do is think positive to lose weight or accomplish any other goal or get over hurdles in your life.

If that were the case, we’d all have the physiques and lifestyles that we’ve dreamt of.

Fortunately, however, if you suffer from being overweight I will share 3 Ways To Use Positive Thinking For Losing Weight.

So, without further introduction, let’s jump in with a brief discussion of the first way to use positive thinking to boost your weight loss…

WAY #1: Love Thyself No Matter What Current Weight Is

This may sound like a contradiction, because you may not like your current appearance, but in order to get pass it physically, you must first get beyond it mentally.

That means using the power of visualization, to picture the way you’ll look once you’ve dropped those unwanted pounds.

You will have a difficult time building up the momentum needed to begin living a weight loss lifestyle without loving yourself first, let alone sustain it.

The heck with what others have to say about you, they don’t matter if they’re being negative and calling you all types of nasty things.

WAY #2: Eliminate Negative Self Talk

I know that this may sound like common sense, but you’d be surprised at how many people don’t apply this simple technique.

Of course, Negative Self Talk is the opposite of Positive Self Talk and can totally be overcome by using a simple technique.

Technique: When you have negative thoughts come into your mind, simply replace them with positive thoughts.

Example: Let’s say that you had to go shopping for clothes and before you even left your home, you began thinking about how large the clothing sizes are.

Applying The Technique: Replace the negative thought with something like, “This will be the last time that I purchase clothing in these sizes.”

Additional Tip: When you replace negative thoughts with positive ones, be certain to take your time to visualize them. To make the visualization more powerful, include as many of your 5 senses as possible.

WAY #3: Be Grateful For What You Do Have

Often times when you practice being grateful for what you have, it tends to reduce stress, anxiety, fear, and dissatisfaction.

You may be a little overweight, but you’re still living and have a chance to turn your situation around.

Of course, you may want more out of life and there’s absolutely nothing wrong that, because as a human you normally want to grow in all areas of your life.

Examples Of Things You Could Be Grateful For In Your Life:

To be alive

To wake up every day

To have kids

To have a significant other

To be loved by others

To have others to love

To be surrounded by a caring family

To have a roof over your head

Your brain is like a muscle, you must consistently train it because there’s some much negativity surrounding us in this world.

It’s better to control your own thoughts and define who you are; than it is to have hateful people that make fat jokes define you.
